Last week Asher decided he would rather poke the camera than let me take his picture with it. This is the best I could get. Really. We were at our favorite place, the Children's Museum, when I attempted some pictures of him standing up without help and yet I continued to get photos very closely resembling what you see to the right.
This week, he got over his need to poke the camera (for the most part) and let me snap a few
classic Asher photos. One of those happen to be his "happy face". Now if you ask him to show you his happy face, you've got a 50/50 chance of seeing it. It's great. The other photo is of him admiring himself in the mirror. He's been doing this forever.So why the suit? No reason except that we got it from a friend as a hand-me-down and it is just too cute to not put on him.
And now for the exciting news (drum roll please...)
He took his first steps yesterday!! Yay for him! It only happened a couple of times and hasn't happened since, though I've tried a bunch. We tried to get it on video last night but he decided he'd had enough and wanted to go to bed. We'll try our best to get it on video soon. I know all grandparents are just dying to see him walk. As soon as we get it, we'll post it for your viewing pleasure.
