Snow and Channukah via Webcam
It's been pretty cold weather for Seattle this week. This is the second week we've gotten snow and it just doesn't seem to want to stop. Yesterday we got 4 1/2 inches and then sometime in the night it turned to freezing rain which added a 1/4 inch layer of ice on top of the snow. Today we've had another 2 1/2 inches of snow since noon to cover that layer of ice. Suffice to say, we haven't gotten out much today. We did walk up to the local coffee shop along with everyone else in the neighborhood it seems.
Portland has been hit just a bit harder than we have and Asher's grandpa has been stuck in the house all by himself while his wife is stuck in Las Vegas, wondering when she'll be able to come home. Hopefully soon.
As tonight is the first night of Channukah, Grandpa had the great idea to light candles together over the webcam. Turned out to be a really cool thing. Asher really likes watching Grandpa on the webcam and he was also enthralled with the Channukah candles. He had a hard time deciding which one to look at.

A Snow Day in Seattle
Well, the weather man warned us. Snow was on its way. We already got some snow a couple weeks ago, but this was a much bigger storm than last time. Luke was stuck at home, not able to get into the office and did his best to get as much work done as he could, but trying to work in the same house as a two year old just isn't conducive to high productivity. Besides, it's too much fun to play in the snow with your son.
We've gotten a couple inches here at our house which doesn't sound like much, but sure creates problems with all the hills we have. So, it became a no car day for many people. It was really great to see so many people out walking as we took Asher for a walk to our favorite local coffee shop, Grateful Bread.
Enjoy the snow pictures!
