A Summer Week in Asher's Life

Asher did a lot this week. Which meant so did I. But we had a great time doing it. We were able to return to our swim classes after having been out of town. I swear I'll get a picture soon. Then on Wednesday, we got to meet a new friend, Levi. He and his mom were in town on business and he took a break from his mom's conference to spend the day with us.
Levi is 6 months old and if a kid can be anymore laid back than Asher, I'd have to say it is Levi. They got along great as you can tell. They also made it easy on me by taking their naps at different times. This way, most of the day I only had one baby to care for. The rest of the time they spent amusing each other. It was so much fun to watch Asher spend time with another baby so close to his own age. I hope we get to see Levi and his mom Sara again soon.

After Levi left our company, we sped over to the zoo for a Pink Martini concert in the park. If you don't know their music, you should check them out. They originate in Portland and are fabulous. Asher seemed to have a great time just hanging out and watching all the people and getting some good Dad time in as well. We went with our friends Marie, Jonah and Daniel and then ran into some other friends, David, Deb and Jacob. A good time was had by all.
You'd think after that, we would be too tired to do more. But not on a gorgeous Seattle weekend. Saturday, we took Asher to his first Mariners game.
Marie, Jonah and Daniel joined us again to watch the Mariners beat the Oakland A's 4-3. I'm not sure Asher really watched the game that much, but he sure did like another opportunity to do some more people watching. Luke and I enjoyed just being out with people and having the chance to drink beer and eat food that isn't the healthiest. It was another busy week for all of us. Asher is growing by leaps and bounds and always seems to have something to say. That is unless he's chewing on something.
