Pic of the Week, a Week Late

Our first trip to Hawaii as a family was a very good one. We flew into Honolulu and met Andy & June, also known as Grandpa & Grandma, at the Royal Hawaiian. This started off our 9 day vacation to celebrate Andy's 6oth birthday.

The following day, we went to Pearl Harbor where Asher got some of his first glimpses of tropical life. Including the wearing of sandals.

He wasn't quite sure what to make of them. This was actually the only day he wore them. Pretty much after that he only wore a diaper most of the time. The weather was warm enough that if he'd worn more, he would have melted away. We tried a couple times to cool him off in the ocean but he was more of a watcher than a doer. I think the waves were a little too much for him.

This is our "official" Pic of the Week. It's one of the few times that Asher was actually willing to stand still. He's discovered how much he likes to crawl all over the place.

It also shows just how tall our little guy is. He's growing like a little weed. I think the warm weather and moist air helped him grow.
